About The Artwork

"The Guardian" _Sold This piece was inspired by my visit to East Berlin when the wall was coming down in 1989. Though I painted it many years later, I was there and was impacted by the WW2 war-torn buildings that had never been repaired and what had happened on the ground I was standing on. While it is hard to see, these siblings are wrapped in music, a theme of mine that has repeated in different forms, where music is a surviving force. I like to paint in acrylic so that I can easily change my mind about color and form. The music is on a layer of lined texture paste. This style fit this idea. Unfortunately, this is my only photograph of this painting "The Guardian". The quality isn't high enough to make a good print. It has been sold and now lives somewhere in Europe.
