This pop art painting was inspired by the a famous 1985 film featuring a beaded DeLorean Time Machine. In the film, a sheepdog named Einstein, became the world's first time traveler as he tested out the DeLorean for the first time. My triptych depicts a beaded Einstein and all that he sees before, during, and after his time-traveling journey. But, in the third panel, he is not beaded! He is merely a paper photograph - like a memory of his past existence. Is this because he has changed the past? Or maybe Einstein has seen the future, and when he returns everything is history... I suppose it is up to you to decide... :D This piece consists of extreme bead embroidery. Tiny glass seed beads, vintage watch parts, and a miniature handcrafted 'flux capacitor' were stitched to felt using needle and strong nylon thread. The finished beadwork was then stitched to a 24" x 36" acrylic painted /newspaper collaged canvas depicting the past, present, & future. This piece took nearly 6 months to create from start to finish. Media: glass seed beads, newspaper collage, acrylics, electronics, vintage clock parts Dimensions (3 panels): 16" x 60" x 3" (41cm x 153cm x 8cm) This piece was hand-beaded in Massachusetts, USA, and is ready to ship. This piece is signed by the Lone Beader, and there is no need for framing.
