Tracks 5 Painting

This is a series of works on paper called Tracks and is inspired by nature, by the traces we find, from leaves, from pods, from the remains of trees in the forest around where I live in the mountains of Madrid. It is a work that aims to represent simplicity and stick to basic forms and composition. It is minimalist and explores the texture left by the paint on the paper support. Colour is also an important part of the work, but it is the play of two to three colours, reducing the colour palette to the maximum. I wanted to make a series on paper and use a very balanced and stable format such as the square. The series is framed in natural wood with a 2 cm border and the work is placed behind a raw white cardboard frame cut out as a passe-partout. Framed it measures 44 x 44 x 1,7 cm.
