My name is Oleksandra, I'm from Ukraine. I'm a full-time artist. Through my watercolor paintings, I strive to capture the essence of these natural landscapes, blending the real and the imagined. I am nearsighted and see the world in patches of color. Often the blurred forms can be read in different ways, everyone finds a personal reading in certain shapes and colors. Not what the artist sees, but something of their own. I, even just in life, have visual deceptions. I see flowers on the lawn, which turns out to be a discarded ice cream wrapper. You can see the world as it is, or you can see it through the prism of your consciousness, your inner world. Due to my experience and perception of the world, I want to see only beautiful things, so even "garbage" can seem beautiful. As opposed to bright and colorful watercolor landscapes, I work on black-and-white nude paintings. I convey the raw and unfiltered essence of human vulnerability through the interplay of liquid ink and form.
