My sister was 9 months pregnant when I painted her. She was already overdue and her friends and her family where so nervous and full of anticipation. She was so calm though and untouched by all the turbulences around her, centered, walking down a single path, tunnel view, relaxed. I was so impressed to witness this singular biological state and the inner calm determination. I was grateful to be allowed to paint her in this particular moment in her life.
