About The Artwork

I have tried to take up this geometry of the nature and tried to present its constant motion through my artwork. My endeavour is to try to depict the structure of the universe on my canvas. My architecture emphasizes the Indian Vedic concept of the cyclical nature of continuous destruction and creation of the universe in a new form. Our Indian knowledge system says that ultimately each object has to shed its form one day and take on a new form, and my aim is to understand this more deeply.

I was born in a farmer family and I cherish the memories of growing up in the lush green nature of my village. I completed my 12th standard education in the village itself. During my education, I was more interested in art and geography, due to which I did my Bachelors and Masters in Fine Arts from Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi, India in 2013. After completing my masters, I went to Baroda, Gujarat to live and did painting for two years. Subsequently, I came to Delhi and did art work continuously. In the last 10 years, I have exhibited my art at many places in India on a collective and on an individual level. When I first started working as an independent artist while doing my Masters, I was puzzled about the subject of my paintings. However, while staying in Baroda, I had the opportunity to meet and talk to artist Mr. K.J. Subramanian. After talking to him, I understood very well that the journey of an artist is a journey of self-discovery. In order to understand myself, I first had to see what made me feel the most? I discovered solace and inspiration from natural things; I was drawn towards nature and its energy. Reflecting on the transition of seasons every year, I wondered, even though the seasons, Summer, Fall, Autumn, and Winter seems to repeat themselves, there is always a newness to it and this is happening since infinite years. The form of every particle of this nature is constantly taking a new form. In this way, it is believed that we will never get to see any old form of this universe. It can also be said that there is nothing which can be called old in this universe. When I see this amazing beauty and change of nature very closely, I find myself stunned. I am lost for words because I am such a tiny particle in this nature whose presence or absence will not make any difference because if I am not there then this nature will create another creation in my place. I believe that whatever this nature creates as an artist, that happens in abstract form because no creation made by nature is ever complete. It is in the continuous process of being created. Hence, the shape, color, form, speed etc. of any object is changing into a new form, color, shape and so on at any given moment. This creation, transformation and renewal happens constantly. My concept is based on this movement. I have chosen as my subject the abstract form of nature which is the basic structure of nature which is in constant motion.
