About The Artwork
Painting of a pewter candlestick holder with a mint green candle on top of pulled apart magazines; a music magazine from Bristol where I used to live. I cover my table in magazines and newspapers in preparation to paint. It feels natural to include the magazine in the still life rather than edit them out. The changes in colour when the candle is lit made me want to paint. Moving through blue, green and yellow hues.
