Nilesh P. Shaharkar is a talented artist based in Mumbai, India. He holds a Master in Fine Art (MFA) and a Bachelor in Fine Art (BFA) from the prestigious Sir J. J. School of Art, Mumbai University, where he graduated with First Class honors in both degrees. Shaharkar's impressive artistic talent has been recognized with numerous awards and scholarships, including the "Lalibai Dharmdas Bhamhani Scholarship" of the Bombay Art Society in 2018, and the Young Artist Scholarship Awarded by Department of Culture, Govt. of India, New Delhi for 2003 to 2005. He has also been awarded the "Merit Grant Award" and the "All India Merit Grant For Painting" in Kalanand Art Exhibition by Prafulla Dahanukar Art Foundation, among others. Shaharkar has had a solo show at the renowned Jehangir Art Gallery in Mumbai in 2024 / 2015 and has participated in several group shows across India, including "Spectrum of Creativity" at Treasure Art Gallery, Delhi, "Goonj" at the Coomaraswamy Hall at the CSMVS Museum, Mumbai by Raza Foundation in 2022, and "Abstract Notations" at Gallery Espsace, Delhi in 2020. His participation in art exhibitions, such as the Maharashtra State Art Exhibition and the Camlin Art Foundation, demonstrates his commitment to showcasing his artwork and honing his craft. Shaharkar's artistic style is unique and recognizable, characterized by his abstract and fluid use of line, color, and space. His works have been widely exhibited and praised for their aesthetic beauty, technical skill, and emotional depth. In addition to his work as an artist, Shaharkar has served as a judge for the Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (Tifr Center), Mumbai in 2012, and has participated in several national and international art events, including the "Open Eye Dreams" National Young Artists Camp in Calicut (Kerala) in 2006 and an "International Conference" organized by Mohile Parikh Center, Visual Art Forum at the Little Theater, National Center Performing Art, Mumbai in 2004. Currently I am living and working in Nashik, Maharashtra, India.
