This series is the result of a study carried out from 2012 to 2014 when I tried to return not only the physical aspect, but also a tactile sensation, a kind of synesthesia, touching with the eyes. The canvas is made by me, the extremes are first hemmed and linen cloth and then is treated with rabbit glue and allowed to dry leaning against a wooden support, without being tried. In the first paintings coexist both the subject of the skin and the background, the background disappears gradually, the skin becomes the only protagonist, with signs that gradually become more and more important until you get to be cuts in the canvas, sewn with a wire. These wounds do not speak of blood, pain, but evidence of the passage of time, but above all represent the overcoming of adversity. This photograph was created by Roberto Centamore.
