This watercolour painting "Winter Bouquet" was inspired by some of the branches and leaves I picked on a walk around the farm last December. I remember being in the mood to paint a bouquet and this is what evolved. It's nice to think that even in the depths of winter we can find beauty in nature and still have a vibrant bouquet! I hope you feel the same when you look at it. I paint in watercolours as I love the challenge of producing a light but vibrant work of art. Winter bouquet is painted on Daler Rowney 140lb paper and will be mounted prior to shipping, so that you can frame it to suit your needs.

Hello! My name is Emer Beattie (née Leavy) and I am an Irish artist living in the Highlands of Scotland. I was raised outside Mullingar, a town in the very centre of Ireland, but have been living here for the past 24 years with my Scottish husband and family. I paint scenes of nature - mostly wildflowers - in watercolour.
