I wanted to focus on the beautiful patterning and lay of the feathers of this fierce bird of prey, a young gyrefalcon. The feathers almost look like mesh, or dragon scaling. I just love painting birds of prey, one just can not go wrong with their intense stare, proud attitude and beautiful appearance!
