26.09.23 My friend gave birth to a daughter. It was crucial for her loved ones to meet the newborn. However, due to the maternity hospital's regulations, only one person could enter the room at a time. After the young father left, I went in. I had forgotten how small newborns are, weighing only 3 kg. The new mother was busy packing her things. She placed the baby in the crib and began packing. It was as if everything else in the world was meaningless. The baby started crying, missing the warmth and comfort of its mother. I picked the baby up in my arms. Holding the helpless 3kg bundle, I realized how insignificant everything else around me was. I realized that I wasn't ready to care for a newborn again. From my series “Introduction to Child”
