He has also been a regular contributor to Food and Travel Magazine since 1997 as well as book publishers Hamlyn Books, Mitchell Beasley and Random House. Gary has also undertaken advertising commissions from international advertising agencies on projects for Rolls Royce, The Royal Mail, Transport for London and Fairmont Hotels amongst others. Since 2012 Gary has led photography tours in Burma, Cambodia, Vietnam, Laos and Thailand, combining his passion for travel and his commitment to helping others develop their photographic skills. Of his work Gary says; "I see my work as being in the Romantic tradition. My work has been described as cinema-graphic, otherworldly and emotionally charged. I love to take pictures, I'm interested in people, culture, society and a sense of place. I travel a lot and I am a romantic of sorts. I was once described as having a 19th Century sensibility. Maybe that is because I like nostalgia, found things and a touch of fantasy. My aim is to find magic in the everyday."
