About The Artwork
During a summer of working with researchers in the streams of the Sierra Nevada Mountains in California, I had a few days on my own to absorb our many conversations. The complexity of even a simple cascade is so enormous, changing with the seasons and from day to day Using my underwater camera, and without knowing really what the images might look like, I started to photograph the water churning at the base of a small waterfall, hoping I might capture something of the momentary beauty of water, its endless variation and renewal. Prints are limited to an edition of 30. I print them myself on Moab Exhibition Luster 300gsm acid free paper on an Epson P800 pigment printer for the highest archival durability in digital imaging.
