The Lady of the Camellias, written by Alexandre Dumas fils had a big impact upon me when I read his tragic tale. I may have felt such empathy because I am a romantic at heart and because I have spent most of my adult life working with the most beautiful women in the world, so I understand not only the true power of astonishing beauty and the hypnotic effect it can have upon those around them but also some of the dangers that mesmerising allure can attract. I felt as if I had met Marguerite Gautier; the beautiful courtesan who is the main protagonist in Mr Dumas doomed story. " Reclining Nude I" is my homage to beauty and to Marie Duplessis upon whom the character Marguerite Gautier is based. This limited edition Giclee print is number 2 of 7 and is signed and numbered on the back unless otherwise requested. The artwork comes with a certificate of authenticity and has a white, 3 inch boarder. The printed image area is 25 x 25 inches. The total print size including boarder is 31 x 31 inches. The image is printed on Hahnemuhle fine art paper. I recommend using non- reflective, u v protective glass when framing prints to protect them. This image is sold unframed.
