Aftermath Print

This piece, created during the final days of my residency in a charming southern French town, explores the village's medieval architecture through the lens of printmaking. This particular print in taken out on a traditional Japanese paper called washi paper. Process: Embracing sustainability, I repurposed the discarded foil-coated back of a milk carton as my printing plate. The desired image and linework were meticulously carved onto the foil surface. Ink, both water-based and oil-based, was then applied, and the design was transferred onto paper using a printing press. This process reflects my ongoing exploration of transforming domestic objects into tools for artistic expression and capturing the essence of a particular space.
