Ancient Greek mythological story about the kidnapping of Europe - the beautiful daughter of the Phoenician King- by Zeus god transformed into a white bull inspired many artists. The oldest preserved ancient painting of this story was a wall painting in Pompeii. This story was later painted by such great artists as Titiano, Veronese and Rembrand. The story of the kidnapping of princess Europe also captivated Kristof Toth in creating this amazing bronze statuette.
