The nose is one of the structures of the human body that stands out not only for its protuberance, but also for its diverse and varied capricious shapes that give each individual a particular and distinctive sign. With this work, the author addresses the importance of the nose as a key piece in the detonation of sensory emotions, of which this sculpture is lacking given its own inherent circumstances that have it immersed in a static and inert life.

Roberto Bear is a self-taught visual artist, who since childhood showed talent for drawing and painting. Although he is still considered as an emerging artist, his passion for sculpture began almost a decade ago; area of the plastic arts in which he has decided to focus primarily. His technique is probably unique, since no one like him has yet known how to take advantage of every plastic packaging that comes into his hands, shaping complex structures that are then covered with a personally processed paste made from paper or cardboard. The result is always surprising: robust sculptures with human forms that at the touch and sight seem more sculpted in stone or quarry. His technique has been the result of a learning process that he has perfected over the years; always having the recycling of plastic, paper and cardboard as his objective. The female figure is so far the favorite subject on which he has based most of his work, which takes advantage of masterly to address sensitive issues such as breast cancer, diabetic foot and violence against women. Currently, he continues developing sculptural projects with which he aims to raise awareness of the importance of recycling.
