About The Artwork

Schechina is from the Hebrew, Pilar of flame or smoke, mystical, angelic, abstract entity, of the devine feminine manifest of natural forces. This monolithic form is comprised of four sections of marble permanently fused together and to it's base. Similar to a double helix the for reaches from its base into space. The sculpture was painstaking hand polished to perfection in contract to the refined concentric tool markings that scar the surface of the stone.

I live and work on a remote island of the Philippines known for its marble that I have exclusively carved in since 2015. "The sculptures I create are unique, organic objects of beauty that can be observed, contemplated and appreciated without having a reference to any pre-existing thing as there is no attempt to make stone look like anything other than stone."
