Elcin Ekinci is an interdisciplinary artist from Istanbul based at Birmingham In 2004, she has graduated from Art and Design Faculty Combined Arts program at University of Yıldız Teknik in Istanbul. After her bachelor graduation, she made master on Sculpture programme at Fine Arts Faculty of Marmara University and Italy Accademia di Belle Arti L'Aquila. Ekinci works mostly with sculpture and installation. She focuses on layers of ontology, human nature, biopolitics and gender. And she composes visual connections between all these layers and representations. Her solo and duo exhibitions are “Inside and Outside” (Yazz Collective Fethiye, 2022), "Flesh and Stone” (Sabancı Kasa Gallery, Memory/Narrative, 2016), “The Nature of Order” (Daire Gallery, 2015), and some selected international exhibitions; Pandora's Box (Galata Greek School, 2019), 4th Russian Ural Biennial (2017), "99 Squares" (Arton, 2018), The Beauty of the Concept (Plato Sanat, 2017), Mamut Art Project ( 2015), “When Ideas Turn into Crime” (Depo, 2010). The artist, whose works are included in important Corporate and Personal collections, has been living in England since 2021. She works in England and Istanbul.
