I took my soul on a hike to the top of a plateau near my house. A place with views powerful enough to inspire any painter. As part of a recent trend I am working straight with oils, mediums, and a brush. Instead of taking the usual analytical route of sketch first, I decided to let the brush do most of the work while my head was in the clouds.
