About The Artwork
We all grow, both physically and mentally. Sometimes growth spurts are painful and wrought with grief over what has been lost. But in order to inspire a deeper faith, a true surrender has to take place in order to move on and to become a better version of yourself. In seasons of pain, I've also witnessed profound growth. This artistic expression unlocks for me the message of hope during the hard times and moment by moment faith that promotes a beautiful new beginning. Pictured is a delicate flower that grows out of itself and then passes itself on to a future harvest. Pages of my prayer journal are layered as the floating seeds in this piece. Dark, deep layers juxtaposed against a light background are representative of the beautifully complex message of turning from darkness to light.
