Painting of local historical building, the Barns-Brinton House, in the town of Chadds Ford, Pennsylvania combined with one of the artists favorite subjects, a fox. This painting was included in the "The Historic Houses Through Artists' Eyes" exhibit at the Chadds Ford Historical Society. The exhibit commemorated the 40th anniversary of the 1968 "Chadds Ford Art Heritage (1868-1968)" show that featured 100 paintings from area artists, including N.C. Wyeth, Andrew Wyeth, Howard Pyle and George Weymouth. That original exhibit helped fund restoration of these pre-Revolutionary buildings and was held at the (still under construction) Brandywine River Museum, which was then called Hoffman's Mill.
