Profits go to The Bubby’s Union Theological Seminary Scholarship Fund. Civil Rights Activist. After being an active member of the NAACP for over a decade, Rosa Parks was carefully selected to challenge Montgomery’s policy of racial segregation in the city’s bus system. Her refusal to move for a white passenger and subsequent arrest led to the 381-day Montgomery Bus Boycott. Her activism also focused on many issues affecting the Black community, including housing, police brutality, labor rights and freeing domestic political prisoners.
