About The Artwork
It is a commonplace to say that San Sebastián - Donostia for the Basques - is one of the most beautiful cities in the World. I met it a long time ago and I always remember her with great affection. I had already painted it once, on behalf of relatives, in watercolor and in a typical winter image. Now I have painted it in acrylics on canvas. It measures 48X24 inches (122X61 centimeters). The image is of a summer day, which allows you to see it more clearly. Painting it like this is a real feat because, although I have not gone to the minute detail, I wanted to respect the essential aspects of the city, which are many.
