About The Artwork
This acrylic painting is paint this year in 2020. Due to (or thanks to) COVID-19, I was given this opportunity to travel around in my own country, Taiwan, and to get inspired by where I grow up. The red building in the picture is Beimen(Chang-En gate), it was completed in 1884 by the Qing Dynasty. This gate was previously the main northern gate for people to enter Taipei City. As for now, Taipei is celebrating the pride in October as the first Asia country that accepts same-sex marriage, which is why I decided to make this painting a little bit more colorful.
