Italy
Erika Marchi, Italian painter born in 1973, starts very soon to express her feelings on paintings, there showing her deepest and inner silences to the keen eye able to see the invisible. She gets her real artistic training into a Milan painter's studio where she refines the drawing techniques and colour's studies. Thanks to the business environment she has always hung around - the word of big Italian brands of luxury and clothing (like Dolce & Gabban, Ferrè, Extè) whose product she deals with - she travelled a lot all over the world. While travelling, she continues to paints and sets up several personal and collective exhibitions. Actually i live and work in Italy. A continuous work, a study of the identification of the sign, has allowed her to participate in major and international events, exhibiting at the side of internationally famous artists such as Anish Kapoor, Saporetti, Jessen, Lodola, Armodio, Covili, Fiume, Mattioli, Borghi, Possenti, Alinari and many others. Critics comments: Precision and innovation are combined here to give life to a well-balanced and deliciously refined style. Giorgio Gregorio Grasso Working on art , which have less the sense of the show but much more " The Meaning of Revelation". The object becomes subject of revelation from another situation, another dimension, something which in one mental space is showed to the others, and communicates to the others. Really, working on the way of the sign is a work certainly dark , certainly difficult, certainly incospicuous, but it's done by a great artist . Giammarco Puntelli The lyric Informal belongs to a painter That looks indirectly to the American painting of the early Seventies. The contrast game is gentle, and gestures held in the dialogue between the white background and black strokes just mentioned about allusive shapes. Paolo Levi Erika Marchi's original Tangle Family breaks down any kind of visual illusion and dares to emulate with traditional oils on canvas the ropes that burri phisically used. Giulia Sillato An informal survay that fascinates the minds, the one of Erika Marchi. A survey that through the genius of sign and a color composed by other three essential colors, white, black and red, can rightly decode his mind's thoughts. A mind far from creative rationality that find in the genius of sign it's real strong point. Salvatore Russo Erika Marchi fascinates us with minimal strokes of significant informal spaces.
