About The Artwork
This large scale abstract is inspired by a direct experience of being in a forest. I tried to synthesize the spacial perceptions of interlocking and overlapping visual elements. I employed a bold, non hesitant use of various paint rollers contrasted with subtle transitions of colour and shifts in transparency.The large semi transparent leaf in the center of the composition functions as an idea of a leaf but it is also integrated into the perceived structure of the forest.
