About The Artwork

My studio looks upon my urban garden. I've recently hung a bird feeder and everything has been transformed. I have birds visiting constantly, goldfinches, robins, blue tits, to name a few. I made the print of the tower using multiple plates. Then I printed a fig leaf that grew in my garden. When I placed the bird on it I thought the tower could be a tree, a bird feeder, a garden sculpture, anything. I think the mix of media gives it a natural and yet surreal feel.
