This artwork is part of the "Souls" series. Souls showcase psychological portraits of people from diverse backgrounds, with different ethnicities, styles, races, genders. It looks to display the beauty within our differences, while at the same time conveying that there is something beneath the surface that connects us all on a deeper level. The person in this portrait is Claire Boucher, multidisciplinary artist also known as Grimes or c. I believe the world needs more people like her. Individuals that dare to challenge conventions, to not fit in; who are vocal about society's flaws. People who are ambitious, passionate, and compassionate. The type that thrives to create what they wish existed in the world, and never give up on their dreams, even when sleeping in a den with no heat in the middle of Montreal's winter. I see some future in c.
