This is the second piece in the Ancient Faces series of work. This piece is based on the culture and art of the people of Easter Island known as the Rapa Nui civilization. This artwork has been completed entirely using different size technical pens on hotpressed watercolour paper because it is a great medium for creating detailed work. It has been framed in a contemporary black frame with a white mount.

Terri Smith (formerly Kelleher) was born in the USA, but moved to Ireland in 1994 where she currently works as a freelance illustrator/artist. She has been illustrating children's books since 2012 and has illustrated +/- 50 books. In 2014, she received the Kuykendall Image Award for Excellence in Illustration for her work in Nancy Scalabroni's book, "Couga Monga Minga Man." Terri also creates work for exhibition and privately commissioned pieces.
