Crafted by the skilled hands of artist Barbara Andrewjeski, this artwork gracefully emerged from an artful juxtaposition of colors, a thoughtful blending of paints, and an impromptu pouring technique. The canvas transformed into a dynamic interplay of hues, mingling and harmonizing under her careful observation. As the finishing touches fell into place and the hanging hardware securely attached, a familiar melody, "Blue Bayou," resonated in her mind, providing the ideal title for this creation. In a fleeting moment, a profound connection with the painting overcame Barbara. Her imagination conjured vivid imagery of time-worn trees, their gnarled roots partly submerged, adorned with wisps of gray-green moss. The atmosphere came alive with echoes of the deep South – a sultry, vibrant body of water teeming with enigmatic aquatic flora and a tapestry of mysterious marine life. Preserved with meticulous care, this artwork by Barbara Andrewjeski boasts an archival glaze that safeguards its vibrancy for generations to come. With the hanging hardware securely in place, it's ready to grace your space, inviting you to contemplate the enigmatic, swirling waters that both embrace and veil the captivating landscape

United States
I have lived many lives. I have been a florist, a welfare caseworker, a counselor, a truck driver, a greenhouse manager, and wedding officiant. As I waved goodbye to all of those incarnations, three lives remain: wife, mother and grandmother. Throughout my various careers, I have expressed my creativity in many forms and periods. I have been an accomplished seamstress, crocheter, leather craftsman, kanzashi artist, and now, finally, fluid artist. I would like to think that all of these experiences have molded and shaped me, honoring my ability to open my heart and share and express my innermost thoughts and emotions. In this current incarnation of me, I have found the freedom to explore the artist inside me. I have come to admire and respect the artistic process. In each of my artworks, I invest a piece of myself. I feel passionately when I am in the process of artistic creation. Along the way, I visit and revisit the works of accomplished artists in order to learn from them: their techniques, style and process. I have come to know a passionate artist named Olga Soby. What I love about her is her fearless freedom to fully express herself in her art, yet also to willingly share her techniques with grace and charm. I hope I live long enough to come close to her ability to tease such profound beauty -- out of my own media.
