About The Artwork
I paint many commissioned pet portraits. This piece was inspired by one of the photos a client provided but didn't want to use for the portrait. I tried to capture the intensity of his gaze. It seemed like he was intently watching without wanting the subject of his gaze to know he was watching. This is an oil on canvas painting with satin varnish finish. The canvas edges are painted black with acrylic paint. Hardware is not included.
