Conceptually Creation is a rite of rebirth and metamorphosis starting from the inspiration of the butterfly, symbol of the soul and associated with the image of flame in many cultures. The flame is a symbol of purification, enlightenment and spirituality. Extremely connected to spirit, transcendence and evolution. The cell forms tell about creation and the expressions that emerge from the depths of the unconscious. Appearances have only an illusory or fleeting value as opposed to the unity of being.

My name is Sabrina Richiedei, I was born in Recanati, Italy in 1999. Currently living in Rotterdam, Nederland. I consider my works strictly connected to nature, conceptually they are based on a symbolic introspection to understand the union between nature and man, highlighting emotion, a way to reflect on the condition of each individual. My intent is to grasp the inner dimension through shapes and colors. I have always been attracted to art, since I was a child I have been surrounded by it. I come from a family that has handed down to me this great passion; my father was running the textile store of the family for generations, I grew up in that small elegant boutique, refined and overflowing with colorful fabrics, designing clothes and dreaming.; my mother at the same time it's a great example of perseverance because she made her passion for music her job, my great-grandmother, an exceptional seamstress, patiently explained to me the art of sewing, my grandmother has always painted and she was the one to encourage me as a child to start. In life, art has not only inspired me, it has always been my anchor, the only way I could express my little world and my feelings. During my art studies I experimented a lot with ceramics, drawing, painting and tailoring. I worked as a tour guide and the history of art has always fascinated me, being able to see the work of artists each with his own sensibility, with his own language, telling an era and connecting the hemispheres through styles and currents. During my journey I fell in love with an ancient culture, I discovered the Orient and from there I studied deeply its roots, from literature, aesthetics, philosophy, I soon started to be interested in traditional Japanese tattoos and ukiyo-e woodblock prints, kidnapped by the depth and the unique relationship between man and nature, by way of the most primordial of the themes of art, for me also the most direct for human sensitivity. From there the union between nature and emotion was the nerve center of my work. Experimentation, study and failures have been the fuel of my process to get to know myself and continue to find out what I can offer the world. https://www.sabrinarichiedei.com/
