These figures represent a mythical character, Kokopelli, from ancient beliefs of American Southwest natives. Of the many legends & stories about Kokopelli, one is that he is a symbol of Joy. I decided to amplify the feeling of Joy with three depictions of this iconic figure dancing and playing flute. The artwork is in a black mat and a silver metallic frame. A Certificate of Authenticity is included.

Born on the West coast of the US and raised in upstate New York State I now live in the American Southwest in Tucson, AZ. Making art was my first love as a child, and art continues to impact my life every day. Although I grew up in a small town I had a lot of artistic influence from my family; my father loved art & played musical instruments, one of his brothers was a professional artist, my mother always encouraged making hand-made gifts and cards, and two of my five sisters are also artists.
