My wife and I were staying in Orlando on a recent vacation. I would spend the day at the pool painting and reading. This one duck would come over and spend the day with me each day and sit under the table I was sitting at. I took a picture of him and decided to give him a better background. Was amazed that my friend new friend would hang out with me all day, without me feeding him anything. Was a great vacation and made a new friend.

I started painting late in life, approximately three years ago, after I had a conversation with my nephew, who was attending college for an art degree at the time. Dennis Collins, my nephew, is a very talented artist and I am a fan of his. He was nice enough to pass on in one of our conversations that his favorite art professor used to say that any painting is good and that you shouldn't worry about the outcome. It is an expression of the individual doing that artwork. After that conversation, I figured what the heck, I will go for it. So now my favorite thing on weekends, is to get up early in the morning, crank on my favorite rock and roll music and just go for it. I usually come out of a "painting frenzy blackout" - the good kind :), covered in paint after 3 or 4 hours, feeling great. I LOVE TO PAINT and am truly blessed that I found this passion/hobby.
