About The Artwork
I woke up in the middle of dreaming about this girl, unknown to me, and quickly sketched her face, transferring it to watercolor paper. The background is a wallhanging from Uzbekistan which a young, poor student new to Glasgow sold to finance his studies at university. ( It was hand-sewn by a family from his village, and took them all 3 months to complete. The painting will allow you to share the student's dream of returning home one day.
