About The Artwork

As with all of Jaren's paintings the root inspiration are reflections primarily on water. This particular painting is the reflection of a Emeryville high rise building in San Francisco Bay at twilight. The image has been manipulated in his computer, which introduces distortions, color changes and additional abstraction. The painting comes together with the addition of geometry of stripes and rectangles that contrast the organic shapes of the reflection to create a dynamic contemporary work that is strikingly new. The work is created with quality materials. With four or five coats of Acrylic Gesso on Masonite means the work should remain in the same condition, for decades into the future. The painting has two coats of acrylic varnish and is ready for framing and will make a dramatic addition to a home or office
