Sebastian Abbo was born in Cambridge (United Kingdom) in 1962. He studied French and Italian at the University of London. After graduating, he moved to France with his young family where he worked as a translator, then as a software designer and developer. He has taken art lessons in diverse fields, including painting, colour theory and printmaking. He grew up in a family where art was ever-present. His father, Jerome, was a studio potter and his grandfather, Jussuf, a well-known sculptor in pre-war Berlin. Sebastian's art work is mainly watercolour and acrylic paintings, and linocut prints. He likes to experiment with contrasts and depth of field. His works are mostly abstract or figurative abstract and are often colourful and playful.
