Oil on Canvas. My inspiration was rather abstract and enigmatic. I chose this piece because in the center is the stone called The Disc of Festus, a clay disc with inscriptions on both sides that was found in the Minoan palace at Phaestus, near the Hagia Triad, in southern Crete. The purpose of use and its origin have not yet been determined, which has made this object one of the most famous mysteries of archeology in the Mediterranean. It is believed to have been created around 1750 B. C. Which would make it the first written document in history. After its discovery, more than a hundred possible translations have been published, but none of them have been fully admitted by experts. All this projected in my style, abstract and always letting color guide my painting.

BIOGRAPHY: Visual artist, Santiago of Chile, 1970. Diplomated in art studies with a General Mention from the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile. When she was little she had the opportunity to live with the beauty of things and she was able to dialogue with the taste for aesthetics, designs and color, in the family textile company. For 23 years she has been formally dedicated to art. She specialized in textile art and painting through different media: oil, acrylic, watercolor, Chinese ink, pastel, Cyanotype, encaustic. Since 2006 she has participated in various group exhibitions, workshops, fairs and international calls in countries such as the United States, Hong Kong, Dubai, Argentina, Germany, Mauritius, and the United Kingdom. My artistic work is based on the representation, through painting, of a series of environments, landscapes and elements located both in the internal and external imaginary. From the above, a synergy between both worlds is developed that allows me to create images that, in addition to stressing the real and the fictional, move between the figurative and the abstraction through the use of a wide chromatic range. I find myself often experimenting with color and the synthesis of color is a key element in my painting.
