Oil on wood 22x20x1.5cm (8.7x7.9x0.6in) 2014. SOLD, private collection, Arlington, USA. “Ilaria” is a small and detailed portrait which I painted on a 20x22cm wood panel. It is part of the series “Faces”, a group of artwork which I started to practise the painting of visages and keeps growing with new artworks every year. This small and colourful portrait show one of my favourite model, Ilaria, who posed for several paintings during the early years of my career “Ilaria” is painted with top quality oil colours and comes with a unique certificate of authenticity signed by the artist

In my paintings I focus on figures and their interaction with the landscape and architecture. After spending some years being very faithful to the samples, I am now experimenting different styles of painting and alternating portraits (mainly commissions) with sperimental artworks. Also, I am increasingly taking advantage of image editing softwares in pre-production to find the best colours and lights for the painting. I use oil colours both on wood and linen. All the materials used in the artworks are high quality, from hand primed canvas (by myself, using a classic method that prevents from aging and deterioration) to colours. Some of my paintings are currently part of private collections in Italy and abroad. Awards: 2023 Finalist, Artfinder Creative Contest - Unity Competition, Online. 2017 Mulieribus, 4th edition.
