This picture is part of the Canvas, Rage/Hope/Love project, about Russia's war against Ukraine. Irpin is a city of Ukraine in the suburbs of Kyiv. The city is incredibly green, beautiful and cozy. The city is calm and safe. Rather, it was like this before the invasion of Russia During hostilities in 2022, more than 300 civilian residents of the city, approximately 310-315 people, died. Among the dead are up to 20 children. 70% of the city's buildings were damaged - from residential buildings to schools, kindergartens and other infrastructure facilities. Now the city is recovering. I hope the heroic Irpin will become even better than he was.

Ukraine
I am a Ukrainian artist. I was born in Donetsk in 1979. At the age of three, I decided to become an artist. I graduated from the Ukrainian National Academy of Arts, the department of temple (monumental) painting. From there, I have the academic school of drawing and painting and a great love for the Ukrainian folk icon. I participated in many group exhibitions, plein air and art residences. I had five personal exhibitions. I make collages, wall paintings, sculptures, illustrations. But the main thing that I do, love and feel the most is painting, oil painting. And in painting, the most important thing for me is color and lightness of color. . Sometimes I use text, words in my works. This is possible because my grandmother was a writer and my parents were journalists. I often make a series of works. I want what I create to be filled with feelings and have a layering of meanings like a good poem.
