Jerry Garcia No. 6 Painting

Hello, take a look around, I'll be adding new original pieces here from time-to-time. A little bit about me, I'm a middle-aged husband and father from Alliance, Ohio. Mostly I paint with Oils and Acrylics. I started painting in my early 20's and before that sketched with pencil. I'm self-taught and have been in the closet till recently. Most of my work is inspired by other art such as musicians and motion pictures. I lean towards painting portraits or scenes that have an emotional connection between two-subjects. I typically like to finish a piece in one evening. I can get lost in music and a whiskey and paint rapidly adding to the emotion of the piece. Other then art I am an avid Yogi and runnner. During the day I work as a front-end software manager for a company based in Houston, TX.
