The last and most extravagant of the ornate movie palaces built on Broadway in downtown Los Angeles between 1911 and 1931. Designed by S. Charles Lee with a French Baroque-inspired decor, its majestic six-story main lobby and 2,000 seat auditorium of carved plaster ornamentation, mirrors, and cove-lit murals recall the glamorous days of 1930s Hollywood.

I'm an architectural artist who explores the mood and sense of place that old buildings create within our lives. My paintings celebrate the visually absorbing shapes, colors, textures and eccentric details of the urban landscape. I've developed a completely original technique of using precise ink images with acrylic tones painted over each other, resembling thin semi-opaque layers. I'm also an avid photographer of vintage architectural elements - signs, statues, facades, subway mosaics and stained glass windows. I've recently begun to exhibit my photographs along with my paintings.
