About The Artwork
All my work is inspired by the abstract expressionist artists and by the music and energy of Northern Soul music. This music is lively and uplifting - romantic and soulful and which hopefully transports you to a 'happy' world of enjoyment. Having worked in a variety of mediums I prefer acrylic paint on canvas as it gives me the opportunity to work with energy and enthusiasm to capture the essence of the music. Each painting is titled after a song from Northern Soul music which inspired the work.
