This piece is about representing the beauty of impermanence through colour and form. The collection of leaves illustrate a cycle of decay, some further along than others, yet each leaf demonstrates a beauty of its own; from a mottled appearance and curled misshapen structure to the vibrant colour of the central leaf and the surrounding ivy. I liked that these leaves had similarities yet stark differences; differences marked by the leaf originating from a specific tree, or where it was in its decay cycle.
