This painting represents a red rose that rises in all its beauty on an enigmatic landscape. On the right side of the painting there are two sparrows that observe the scene curiously. The painting draws inspiration from the famous "Rosa meditativa" by Salvador Dalì and takes up its setting. At the beginning, a series of randomness led to the realization of this painting; in fact, the name of the painting was written on the back of the canvas before the actual pictorial work; and once the background was realized, I noticed that the first roses had already blossomed in my garden. Taken this way by the desire to paint one, I immediately thought of the meditative rose of Dalì, and I decided to insert this flower in the composition of the painting. The two birds symbolically represent a pair of lovers.
The name "mystic rose" refers to a meditative practice devised by Osho which consists of three successive steps, which involve a phase of laughter, one of tears and the last of meditative silence.
