Plein Air painting of front steps of a house in Easton, Maryland, USA. Painted during the 2015 Plein Air event. This scene caught my eye, and I painted it alla prima. A red door and red brick steps contrast with the green leaves and blue-green ivy. As I painted, all the plants appeared to reach for the sunlight at the end of the steps. Painted with Gamblin Fine Oils, framed in a Cherry wood frame made in North Carolina.
