I’m an artist residing in Southern California. Though primarily self-taught, I did receive some academic training. Most importantly, however, my main style is inspired by the great masters of the Renaissance, Gustave Dore, and the Hudson River School of the 1800s. Most of the subject matter for my artwork is based on folk tales and legends. Occasionally, I like to produce some still life and wildlife as well. For my landscapes, in particular, I apply the chiaroscuro and sfumato technique of Leonardo Da Vinci and Giotto Di Bondone. On my leisure time I like to do some reading, mostly classic literature—which helps to inspire and motivate my creative instincts as well as stir my imagination.
