Germany
Anna Tarach - Göttingen-based artist has a very special, curious view of the world and is constantly working on her creative processes. She studied painting and textile design at the Art Academy Lodz / Poland. She also discovered her favorite technique: screen printing. In her painting we repeatedly find new textile substrates and techniques. Textiles that have "lived" before on stretcher frames become painted, printed surfaces that we see as pictures. Plants and animals also represent images of transience and nature. Their processing is as varied as their motifs, including fantasy or mythical creatures, animals, flowers, ornaments and women. Abstract ornaments in a row resemble landscapes. Shapes are reduced and blurred to such an extent that they resemble the foggy figures, the outlines of which seem to appear and disappear out of nowhere. Her pictures in pigments and acrylic arise intuitively from the memory of the artist herself. She also likes to work on unusual "projects" because screen printing is a very versatile process and can also be used to refine a wide variety of fabrics.
